Tadeusz Rolke fot. Michał Gonicki

We are pleased to invite you to the opening of our exhibition and a screening of an excerpt of the film
“2×15”

Tadeusz Rolke was 15 years old in 1944.

He is one of the greatest photographers in Poland. During World War II, he bought his first camera
Kodak Baby Box for the money he had earned by selling aircraft models. The exhibition presents
mainly the first photographs he took in 1944 of ruined Warsaw.

Michał Gonicki is currently 15 years old. He is learning photography from Tadeusz Rolke. Last
summer they took a one-month trip across Poland. They set up a darkroom in an old camper.
Photographs taken by Michał with his medium-format Rolleicord camera during the trip are a part of
the exhibition.
