CORNELIUS EADY’s books include Hardheaded Weather, Brutal Imagination (a finalist for the 2001 National Book Award in Poetry); The Gathering of My Name (nominated for the Pulitzer Prize) and Victims of the Latest Dance Craze (chosen for the Lamont Poetry Selection of The Academy of American Poets). He has also collaborated with jazz composer Deidre Murray in the production of several works of musical theater, including Running Man, a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in Drama.
JEAN MONAHAN is the author of Hands (chosen by Donald Hall for the Anhinga Prize); Believe It or Not, and Mauled Illusionist. Her awards also include 2nd prize in the River Styx contest; the Open Voice Award from The Writer’s Voice of the West Side YMCA; the John Williams Andrews Narrative Poetry Prize from The Writer’s Center/Poet Lore, and runner up for the Grolier Prize from the Ellen La Forge Memorial Poetry Foundation. She held a Yaddo fellowship, earned an MFA at Columbia University School of the Arts, and has published work in journals including Poetry, The New Republic, Atlantic Monthly, and Salamander, as well as in several anthologies.
